Actions speak louder than excuses

I often voice my opinion about America. Being sixty-seven years old, I certainly have a few opinions. Until the election of President Donald Trump,  America has not been a country of ACTION, it has been a country of REACTION.

Take a moment and think about our biggest problems in America. Let us start with the one on the front burner today. DACA.  On June 15, 2012, obama created a new policy calling for deferred action for certain undocumented young people who came to the U.S. as children. Applications under the program which is called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (“DACA”) began on August 15, 2012. This is not a LAW, it is a policy. Policies expire. To test this, do not pay the premiums on your insurance policies and let me know if yours does not expire because I want to switch to your company. The expiration date on obama’s DACA is here, my friend. You can see it. American flags being flown upside down, American flags being replaced by Mexican flags, Illegal Immigrants marching and carrying signs telling true Americans to Shut Up. Disgusting, isn’t it?

How did this happen? There is a very simple answer, we did not secure our borders. That would have required us to take action. We did not ACT.  Now we have an entire swarm of Democrats and portions of our Republican congressmen who are voting against our effort to secure our borders. Illegal Immigrants own this portion of our government now. Yes indeed, I call them Illegal Immigrants…I am so Politically Incorrect, aren’t I? Do you call them Undocumented Immigrants? If you get stopped for driving without a license…do they write you a ticket for being an Undocumented Driver. I think not!

I can easily write examples of action vs. inaction until my fingers bleed, but it will do no good. Let me point out the latest one…please. Mental Health of our young people. How in the world did our young people get so crazy? When did Autism become an everyday word? When did kids become so unruly that they must be popped full of drugs in grammar school?  Will we correct this problem? As of today, we have not corrected it.  That would require Action. We will React by discussing those “mean old guns.” As I said, I am sixty seven,  I have never seen a gun pull its own trigger.

What about the latest school killing in Florida? Why do we NEVER hear about the medications that our young people are taking? Why didn’t the school security guard go inside the school and distract or kill the shooter? Why didn’t the sheriff’s department take action after receiving 39 calls to the residence of the shooter? Why didn’t the FBI take action on the many leads that it received that would have prevented the school shooting?  Because that would have required action. They are all waiting on their chance to react. Remember the FBI contacted the young man who had previously called with a concern about Cruz ….immediately AFTER the murders of the young school children. Then the FBI admitted they had dropped the ball. The FBI should go and visit the loved ones of the dead and injured and explain their lack of action in this case.

If you have a child who takes their “Make me a Zombie” medication every day before school “because they show symptoms of being a child”……save a copy of this paper. You can send it to them when they are on trial or in jail because they will need more powerful drugs as they became older. Now….what will you do to help your child who has been blessed by their doctor with the, ever so convenient, diagnosis of ADD and ADHD? Or did they use the word Bi-polar?

Will you do nothing? Remember this is your child. Your child does not belong to the school or the doctor. They belong to you….at least today, they do. Their future may later be determined by a judge and a jury….but not today. TODAY,  parents of school children hold the future mental health of their children, or lack thereof, in their parental hands. What will you do the next time you reach for the little bottle of antidepressants and stimulants for your child? It is entirely up to you as a parent. You can choose the tough road… and let your child be a child with parental guidance… in today’s world. Or, you can choose the path of least resistance and continue to create a zombie. Oh, by the way, a child’s brain is not finished developing until they turn 25 years of age.  Do you wonder how the developing brain of a young child reacts to stimulants and antidepressants? I am willing to bet they will produce brains with murderous traits similar to those of Dylann Roof and Nikolas Cruz. Parents are not required to let this happen to their children. But sadly, just like the school security guard, the sheriff’s department, and the FBI in this case, a reaction is not sufficient….from the parents of drug induced little children….

that will require Action.

  1. I really like your topic page. I find the information very interesting and thought provoking. I enjoyed our mutual experience of sharing jury duty together today and for the both of us our first time.
