The Deplorable Infidel

The Antifa movement is a conglomeration of left-wing autonomous militant anti-fascist groups in the United States. The principal feature of antifa groups is their use of direct action, with conflicts occurring both online and in real life. They engage in varied protest tactics, which include digital activism, property damage, physical violence, and harassment against those whom they identify as fascist, racist, or on the far-right. Activist involved in the movement tend to be anti-capitalists and subscribe to a range of ideologies, typically on the left. They include anarchists, socialist and communist along with some liberals and social democrats. Their stated focus is on fighting far-right and white supremacist ideologies directly, rather than through electoral means.

When Italian dictator Benito Mussolini consolidated power under his National Fascist Party in the mid 1920s, an oppositional anti-fascist movement surfaced both in Italy and countries such as the United States. Many anti-fascist leaders in the United States were syndicalist, anarchist, and socialist émigrés from Italy with experience in labor organizing and militancy. Although there is no organizational connection, the lineage of antifa in America can be traced to Weimar Germany, where the first group described as “antifa” was Antifaschistische Aktion, formed in 1932 with the involvement of the Communist Party of Germany.

After World II, but prior to the development of the modern antifa movement, violent confrontations with fascist elements continued sporadically. Modern antifa politics can be traced to opposition to the infiltration of Britain’s punk scene by white power skinheads in the 1970s and 1980s, and the emergence of neo-Nazism in Germany following the fall of the Berlin Wall. In Germany, young leftists, including anarchists and punk fans, renewed the practice of street-level anti-fascism. Columnist Peter Beinart writes that “in the late ‘80s, left-wing punk fans in the United States began following suit, though they initially called their groups Anti-Racist Action (ARA) on the theory that Americans would be more familiar with fighting racism than they would be with fighting fascism.

Dartmouth College historian Mark Bray credits ARA as the precursor of the modern U.S. antifa groups in the United States and Canada. In the late 1980s and1990s, ARA activists toured with popular punk rock and skinhead bands in order to prevent Klansmen, neo-Nazis, and other assorted white supremacists from recruiting. Their motto was “We go where they go” by which they meant that they would confront far-right activist in concerts and actively remove their materials from public places. In2002, the ARA disrupted a speech in Pennsylvania by Matthew F. Hale, the head of the white supremacist group World Church of the Creator, resulting in a fight and twenty-five arrests. Other antifa groups in the U.S. have other genealogies, for example in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where a group called the Baldies was formed in 1987 with the intent to fight neo-Nazi groups directly.

Although various antifascist movements have existed in the United States since the beginning of fascism, the word antifa adopted from German usage, only came into prominence as an umbrella term in English in 2017. The Anti-Defamation League makes a point that the label “antifa” should be limited to “those who proactively seek physical confrontations with their perceived fascist adversaries,” and not be misapplied to include a counter-protesters.

The America hating moron Democrats say it is acceptable to spend money to give illegal aliens free health care, but not acceptable to spend money on a parade to honor America.

Form 1040 was chosen by the IRS because for every $50 you earn, you get 10 and they get 40.

On My Soapbox…All About Idiots

Idiot was formerly a legal and psychiatric category of profound intellectual disability in which a person’s mental age is two years or less. In the old days we had little pictures in the dictionary to illustrate words. If we had that option on line today, you would see a picture of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez beside the word idiot. It would have looked like this in our old, detailed and accurate dictionaries.

noun: idiot; plural noun: idiots

a stupid person.

Synonyms: fool, ass, halfwit,
nincompoop, dunce, ignoramus,

imbecile, moron, etc.

Our old World Book Encyclopedias were also detailed and accurate. They were uncensored by MSM. They would have pointed out all the details, both good and bad about New York’s new little idiot.

Our World Book Encyclopedias would have admitted that 29-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made history in November 2018 by becoming the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. Ocasio-Cortez, a self- declared Democrat socialist beat veteran Democrat Representative Joe Crowley in New York’s congressional primary election in June in a shocking upset and went on to win 78% of the vote in the general election.

But…our World Book Encyclopedias would have also pointed out that: Joe Crowley is Nancy Pelosi’s best friend….that he was slated to be the next Speaker of the House once old Nancy falls off the stage or checks into an old folks home. Our WBE would have pointed out that Joe Crowley, like many other politicians, became complacent in his job. He thought he would be the sure winner. So he decided to attend a sock-hop or something like that, instead of campaigning.

More importantly, our WBE would have pointed out that only 13% of the district came out to vote in the elections that put their new Idiot in office. AOC’s first memorable contribution was to cause Amazon to change their mind on a new facility that was being considered for New York. This caused NYC to lose 25,000 jobs, $4 billion in lost wages and $12 billion in lost economic activity for NY. These facts were posted on a huge billboard in NYC for all to see, with this closing comment: THANKS FOR NOTHING, AOC.

So, to our youth, who I truly love….I have this simple advice:

Do not throw away your Granny’s old dictionaries and encyclopedias. One day the pendulum of time will swing, once again, back toward truth and morals. You will have the edge on the people who are searching for real history. As Paul Harvey said,

“You will have the rest of the story.”

Hell’s Angels..So Funny

A group of HELL’S ANGELS, South Carolina bikers were riding east on 378 when they saw a girl about to jump off the Pee Dee River Bridge. So they stopped.

Rod, their leader, a big burly man of 53, gets off his Harley, walks through a group of gawkers, past the State Trooper who was trying to talk her down off the railing, and says, “Hey Baby . . whatcha doin’ up there on that railin’?”

She says tearfully, “I’m going to commit suicide!!”

Why don’t you give ol’ Rod here your best last kiss?

So, with no hesitation at all, she leaned back over the railing and did just that . . and it was a long, deep, lingering kiss followed immediately by another even better one.

After they breathlessly finished, Rod gets a big thumbs-up approval from his biker-buddies, the onlookers, and even the State Trooper, and then says,

“Wow! That was the best kiss I have ever had!
That’s a real talent you’re wasting there, Sugar Shorts.
You could be famous if you rode with me.
Why are you committing suicide?”

“My parents don’t like me dressing up like a girl.”

It’s unclear if she jumped or was pushed.
