AN ARMED CITIZENRY

The right to keep and bear arms was considered by the Founders to be an unalienable right connected with the preservation of life, liberty, and property. Today Americans are the best armed civilian population in the world. The number of private citizens owning arms is estimated to be over fifty million. The number of firearms in the possession of private citizens is estimated to be between 350 and 400 million weapons.

It is a historical fact that in nations where the political leaders want to curtail the rights of the people and take away their property and freedom, they always begin by trying to disarm them. This is usually done by first requiring them to register their firearms and imposing a heavy penalty on those who do not. It has been determine that in many instances the next step is to deliberately provide widespread rioting and violence (Antifa). The government can then use this as an excuse to confiscate all firearms in the possession of law abiding citizens and do it on the grounds that “we have to somehow stop all this killing.”

There are also those who feel it would cut down on crime if there were a federal law prohibiting the people from having guns. Former Senator Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah) said: “If gun laws in fact worked, the sponsors of this type of legislation should no difficulty drawing upon long lists of examples of crime rates reduced by such legislation. That they cannot do so after a century and a half of trying – that they must sweep under the rug the southern attempts at gun control in the 1870-1910 period, the northeastern attempts in the 1920-1939 period, and the attempts at both Federal and State levels in 1965-1976 – establishes the repeated, complete, and inevitable failure of gun laws to control serious crime.”

“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”

Thomas Jefferson

WAKE UP AMERICA BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!

“If our country is to survive and prosper, we summon the courage to condemn and reject the liberal agenda and we had better do it soon.”

The elevators in San Francisco now have to have operators to keep the homeless from using them as toilets.

AN OPINION FROM THE DEPLORABLE INFIDEL

“The American heritage was one of individual liberty, personal responsibility and freedom from government … Unfortunately … that heritage has been lost. Americans no longer have the freedom to direct their own lives … Today, It is the government that is free – free to do whatever it wants. There is no subject, no issue, no matter … that is not subject to legislation.”

“It took about 150 years, starting with the Bill of Rights that reserved to the states and the people all powers not explicitly delegated to the federal government, to produce a Supreme Court willing to rule that growing corn to feed your own hogs is interstate commerce and therefore regulated by Congress.”

David Friedman
