CATHY’S CORNER

OUR WORLD TODAY…

I am sure that many of you saw Coach Tim Walz on your News Channel in recent days.  I believe after Kamila Harris chose him as her running mate, he got a little taste of running with the big dogs, so he got a big head thinking he has what it takes.  He is giving deep though about running for President in 2028. He is getting out there, trying to be seen and heard while trying to act intelligent. He made a remark about his daily reviews of Tesla stock and the glee he felt as the stock was dropping. This ignorant man gave no thought to many of his fellow Teachers who have their retirement in money markets that could very well be vested in Tesla Stocks.  I remember when I worked for the Georgia Educators system. I had the Money market retirement plan, of course the Money Market chooses the areas of investment. I am willing to bet that Electric cars, batteries, and such are big in those investments.

Monday around noon, Trump had a round robin type Cabinet meeting. It was televised for all tax payers to see. He stated that it was the first time a Cabinet meeting had been televised.  I will tell you; I loved it. That is how it should be. We the people are the ones who voted those Cabinet members in through our votes to the congress members. I am retired now and I am loving the education I am getting by keeping up with all the news and articles I have been reading lately, there is nothing like it. Sadly, our Children and Grandchildren are so busy trying to make a living that they miss much of the news. By the time they get home from work, cook, and take care of children, their lives are so consumed.  I do wish they could absorb more, but I understand. I was there once. I try to pour updated information into them when we converse.

The New Agriculture Secretary was explaining how she is getting eggs from So. Korea and Turkey to help bring U.S. prices down. They are working on plans for growing more Chickens and sustaining better Chicken health. She needs to talk to RF Kennedy, he can make Chickens Healthy again. Transportation Secretary Duffy explained the status of our antiquated equipment. The FAA towers, which direct our traffic in the skies, are still using floppy discs, who still does that? Well, the FAA of course. They will need to update with all new state-of-the-art equipment.  Old Joe was there for four years, rather than taking a nap every day he should have been looking into all these things that needed attention. I am sure the X Secretary Pete Buttigieg  knew nothing about taking care of Transportation. By the way, he may be looking at running for President in 2028, along with AOC.  Let’s not forget about
Gavin (Hand Signal) Newsom in California. I think his Aunt Nancy Pelosi is giving him lessons on the importance of hand movements. They must believe it enhances their intelligence.

The Democrats are lost in the wilderness. By the time 2028 comes along they are going to be very tired of eating the Mega diet. They will be raving lunatics and Demanding real meat.

The SAD faces of likely Democrat Wanna-Be Presidential candidates for 2028.
These clowns look more sad than the third Gorilla attempting to climb aboard The Ark.

Bible Verse

‘Go,’ Jesus said to him. ‘You are well now, because you believed in me.’ Immediately, Bartimaeus could see again. He followed Jesus along the road.

A Very Special Post….

These eleven short stories are all very good stories and make us think twice about the daily happenings in our lives as we deal with others!

1.  Today, I interviewed my grandmother for part of a research paper I’m working on for my Psychology class.  When I asked her to define success in  her own words, she said: “Success is when you look back at your life and the memories make you smile.”

2.  Today, after my 72 hour shift at the fire station, a woman ran up to me at the grocery store and gave me a hug.  When I tensed up, she realized I didn’t recognize her.  She let go with tears of joy in her eyes and the most sincere smile and said: “On 9-11-2001, you carried me out of the World Trade Center.”

3.  Today, after I watched my dog get run over by a car, I sat on the side of the road holding him and crying.  And just before he died: he licked the tears off my face.

4.  Today at 7:00 AM, I woke up feeling ill, but decided I needed the money, so I went into work.  At 3:00 PM I got laid off.  On my drive home I got a flat tire.  When I went into the trunk for the spare, it was flat too.

A man in a BMW pulled over, gave me a ride, we chatted, and then he offered me a job.  I start tomorrow.

5.  Today, as my father, three brothers, and two sisters stood around my mother’s hospital bed, my mother uttered her last coherent words before she died.

She simply said, “I feel so loved right now.  We should have gotten together like this more often.

6. Today, I kissed my dad on the forehead as he passed away in a small hospital bed.  About 5 seconds after he passed, I realized it was the first time I had given him a kiss since I was a little boy.

7.  Today, in the cutest voice, my 8-year-old daughter asked me to start recycling.  I chuckled and asked, “Why?”  She replied, “So you can help me save the planet.”  I chuckled again and asked, “And why do you want to save the planet?”

Because that’s where I keep all my stuff,” she said.

8.  Today, when I witnessed a 27-year-old breast cancer patient laughing hysterically at her 2-year-old daughter’s antics, I suddenly realized that: I need to stop complaining about my life and start celebrating it again.

9.  Today, a boy in a wheelchair saw me desperately struggling on crutches with my broken leg and offered to carry my backpack and books for me.  He helped me all the way across campus to my class and as he was leaving he  said,

“I hope you feel better soon.”

10.   Today, I was feeling down because the results of a biopsy came back malignant.  When I got home, I opened an e-mail that said, “Thinking of you today.  If you need me, I’m a phone call away.” It was from a high school friend I hadn’t seen in 10 years.

11.  Today, I was traveling in Kenya and I met a refugee from Zimbabwe.  He said he hadn’t eaten anything in over 3 days and looked extremely skinny and unhealthy.   Then my friend offered him the rest of the sandwich he was eating.

The first thing the man said was, “We can share it.”

RAM TOUGH…

This is a very interesting story. It is not about Dodge who tossed around the RAM TOUGH slogan and logo to signify that Dodge trucks were TOUGH. This story is about the amazing REAL & TOUGH RAMS. I hope you open and watch the little short videos. They are amazing.
I love BAM-BAM and I bet you will too.
