1) Lions are not only found in Africa. A tiny, endangered population of so-called Asiatic lions live in the forests of Eastern India.

2) Despite it being another name for the brown bear, the name “grizzly” actually comes from an old English word meaning “gray-haired”.

3) A group of rhinoceros is known as a “crash.”

4) A typical kangaroo can move at more than 30 mph, and leap 25 feet in a single bound.

5) Sperm whales can produce single clicks lasting just a fraction of a second, yet are so loud, they can be heard by other whales ten miles away.
