Grim Anniversary

In 1790, George Washington wrote a letter to a Jewish community in Rhode Island. In it, he promised that Jews in America would, “continue to merit and enjoy the good will of the other Inhabitants; while every one shall sit in safety under his own vine and fig tree, and there shall be none to make him afraid.”

Well, they’re afraid now – both in Israel and the USA.
 
This week marks a bitter milestone, the one year anniversary of the horrific terrorist attack on Israel. Over 1200 civilians were murdered, over twice that many were wounded, and over 250 were taken hostage. Countless women were raped, and babies were cooked alive. 

In terms of population, 7 October was far worse for Israel than 911, with a death toll equivalent to over 60,000 Americans. 

A year later, over 100 hundred hostages remain captive – in dungeons beneath Gaza – including 7 Americans.

What is Harris doing about it?

Instead of rescuing our American hostages, she demands that Israel capitulate. 

Worse, she continues to fund those same terrorists when she lifted sanctions against Iran. Since that time, Iran’s GDP has doubled from $200B to $450B a year. 

The White House’s decision to help the world’s greatest funder of terrorism means that Iran continues to fund Hezbollah and Hamas and the Houthis. 

Since 7 October, Iran used that money to launch hundreds – hundreds – of missiles at Israel. 

Since 7 October, terrorists used that money to launch hundreds – hundreds – of attacks against US soldiers.

Since 7 October, we’ve seen 10,000 antisemitic protests – here in America! The FBI reports that 60% of hate crime in the USA is against Jews, who represent only 2% of the population.

Harris insulted the Israeli Prime Minister when he came to America, refusing to oversee a joint session of Congress for his speech and openly criticizing his leadership. 

Harris insulted him again – just this week – by pointedly refusing to say that she supports Israel’s leader.  

Harris’ attitude is in direct contradiction with George Washington’s declaration about the Jews that, “there shall be none to make him afraid.”

The Left pretends to care about victims. But they are the ones that are creating those victims, in tragedies that are caused by their inept decisions.
