In Hardangervidda National Park in Norway, 323 reindeer were killed by a single lightning strike. They were huddled together because of a heavy storm and were killed because of the ground current that stopped all of their hearts.
In 1986, Bangladesh was hit by hailstones weighing in at over 2.2 pounds each and killing ninety-two people.
A man with a Liverpool Football Club tattoo of the club motto “You’ll never walk alone” had his lower leg amputated after a combat injury in Afghanistan. Unbelievably, the surgeon unknowingly cut his tattoo so it now reads “You’ll never walk.” However, the man now has a prosthetic leg and competes in marathons.
