Euphemism: a mild or indirect word or expression substituted for one considered to be too harsh or blunt when referring to something unpleasant or embarrassing.

I miss George Carlin. Most people will remember his stand-up routines in which he explained America’s over-use of euphemisms. He made it very clear that our language was becoming too soft. I agreed with him then and I certainly agree with him now. OH BOY…do I agree with him now!

One of George Carlin’s most famous explanations was the Euphemistic Shift in the word Shell-Shock. I remember it as follows: (or very similar)

In combat, a condition exists in which a fighting person’s nervous system has been stressed to its absolute peak or maximum. The nervous system has snapped or is about to snap.

In World War l, this condition was known as Shell-Shock. Say the word aloud. It almost sounds like a gun being reloaded, doesn’t it? It commands attention.

In World War ll, the exact same condition was called Battle Fatigue. That sounds much more relaxed, right? Perhaps, a person should reposition their pillow and take a little nap.

In Korea, this condition was known as Operational Exhaustion. This sounds more like a problem with your car.

In Vietnam, the condition was called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. To make it seem even more insignificant, it was reduced down to the acronym PTSD. 

That is why I say…”To HELL WITH EUPHEMISMS.”

And by the way, To Hell with: The View, The idiots who agree with the views of The View, All RINOS, Every crooked Judge who is playing the Democrat/Socialist/Communist Games, Every person who was (temporarily) pardoned by Joe’s auto-pen and also those pardoned by him when he was possibly present and conscious, and EVERYONE who has been an aggravation to Donald Trump, EVER.

The euphemisms that have me pissed off more each day are:

Undocumented Immigrant. Unauthorized Immigrant. Immigrant Without Papers.

For some insane reason we are told not to address the millions of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS or ILLEGAL ALIENS as ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS or ILLEGAL ALIENS. Their reason from the news media is that the word illegal must describe an act, not a person and the word illegal is considered dehumanizing, factually inaccurate, and misleading.

(I just love their accepted euphemism “Immigrant Without Papers.” Once upon a time, my sister had a Pekinese that did not have papers. The value was really low for Gizmo because there were no papers for the poor dog. WHOA! Are Democrats buying & selling Illegal Immigrants? REMEMBER, over 300,000 children disappeared under Biden’s open border. Keep a sharp eye out for people wearing Sheets and White Pointed Hats. Old DEMOCRAT habits are hard to break.) 

To ALL you people who have no respect for America and Rules…I think you should toss your Driver’s License into the trash. When you get pulled over by an officer of the law and are asked for your license…just reply:
“I do not have a driver’s license since rules do not matter to me because I am an Undocumented Driver.”
Do it! Be Big & Bad & Tough…do it in a Red State. Just don’t expect a speedy trial, because you know…NO RULES, BABY!
