The lady in the Mona Lisa painting has been identified as an Italian noblewoman named Lisa del Giocondo. After the death of his brother, Dali became convinced that he was his brother’s reincarnation. When Henri Matisse’s painting Le Bateau was first exhibited in New York, it was hung upside down. The mistake was not spotted for six weeks. Van Gogh fell in love with his cousin, Kee. In response, his uncle banned him from their family home.
