Silence speaks so very loudly…. Yes I know that experience, and I will share one with you in much the same way… My daughter had just graduated college 2004, and a few years later we were having a group dinner at my home in Friday Harbor on San Juan Island… In the midst of these new graduates, I wanted to ask a question that was not about a single point but about observation of where we were as a society at that moment…. We had just passed the 300 Million population in the USA and it was big news on TV etc… I asked my daughter what is the population of the United States, now mind you there were 3 friends of my daughter as well…. She thought a few minutes and said 65 Million, well we were 100 million in 1915, 200M in 1967 and 300M in 2006… When I replied that California at the time was @ 36-38 Million, they were silent, not one of them came anywhere near the actual number, and it was a news flash just months earlier….
