WGN – 37-20-06 Lake Creek or Nelson Creek Covered Bridge – Oregon- Built in 1928 in Lane County by Lane County spanning Lake Creek on Nelson Mt. Rd., single span, 105 feet long, Howe trusses

Oregon Bridge #14215. Cost $3,155.38 (1928) & $183.75 (1929). The single piece chords measure 14” x 14” x 111 feet for the lower timbers and 12” x 12” x 79 feet for the upper ones. During the summer of 1984, a center pier was added and the wooden floor was replaced by a concrete slab. The wooden abutments and trestle approaches were also replaced with concrete at that time. The bridge has square portals with angled corners.
