An interesting comment……

If you flip a coin 17 times, the odds of it turning up heads every time are 131,072 to one.

And that is the exact probability that there was no political bias in all of the 17 errors in the FISA applications where every single errors went against the Trump campaign and no errors went in its favor.

We know that Democrats can’t “math” very well.  But only AOC could possibly believe that those odds happened out of pure chance.

And, to correct the lies that are being promoted by the empty heads on TV, Horowitz did not find that there was no political bias in the FISA application process.  His report says that the interviews and documents didn’t provide evidence of political bias.  So, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

What that means is that nobody ‘fessed up to their bias and, if they had any, they didn’t put it in writing.

That is a far cry from a finding that it did not exist–especially when you consider that the odds of it not existing are at least 131,072 to 1.

One of the most hotly debated clauses in the Constitution deals with the removal of federal government officials through the impeachment process. But what did the Founders who crafted that language think about the process and its overall intension? The need for the ultimate check, and in particular the removal of the President, in a system and checks and balances was brought up early at the 1787 convention in Philadelphia. Constitutional heavyweights such as James Madison, Benjamin Franklin, James Wilson, and Gouverneur Morris debated the impeachment clause at the convention, and Alexander Hamilton argued for it in The Federalist  after the convention.

Today, impeachment remains as a rarely used process to potentially remove the “President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States” if Congress finds them guilty of “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

In Federalist  65, Hamilton made an extended argument for the states to ratify a Constitution with an impeachment Clause. The Founders and some of Hamilton’s audience were familiar with the concept from English law and several state constitutions had impeachment provisions for “maladministration,” a term Madison objected to and which caused George Mason to add “high crimes and misdemeanors” to the clause as its replacement.

Hamilton argued strongly for the Senate and not the Supreme Court as the place where impeachment charges would be considered at the trial related to “the misconduct of public officials, or, in other words, from the abuse or violation of some public trust. “They are of a nature which may with peculiar property be denominated POLITICAL, as they relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself. The prosecution of them, for this reason, will seldom fail to agitate the passions of the whole community, and to divide it into parties more or less friendly or inimical to the accused,” Hamilton added.

The “high crimes and misdemeanors” language remains controversial today, especially after yesterday’s vote by the Democrats in the House of Representatives. In two essays in the National Constitution Center’s Interactive Constitution, Neil J. Kinkopf and Keith E. Whittington looked at the Founder’s vision. Kinkopf wrote: “The Framers meant for the phrase ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’ to signify only conduct that seriously harms the public and seriously compromises the officer’s ability to continue. If the phrase is given a less rigorous interpretation, it could allow Congress to influence and control the President and the courts.”

Whittington wrote: “When the Founders wanted to ensure accountability, they mostly relied on elections and the voters to hold government officials responsible for their actions.” But what might fall into the category of ‘other high crimes and misdemeanors’ was still quite unclear.”

“If our country is to survive and prosper, we must summon the courage to condemn and reject the liberal agenda, and we had better do it soon.”

-Walter Williams-

For once and only once the moron American hating Democrats have told the truth. They said we are going to impeach that “mother-f***er”. Yesterday they kept their word by impeaching President Trump without one Republican vote and on nothing more than trumped-up charges (no pun intended). Isn’t it amazing that their actions have shown, in the past, just how much they loathe the Founding Fathers. But, in the past couple of weeks they have found a new love for them, quoting them, invoking their writings into the impeachment proceedings, and insisting we must follow the constitution, which the Founders wrote, to the letter to impeach this President, because he is a threat to national security. Nutty Nadler and crying Chuck Schumer both said the way the Bill Clinton trial was conducted is not the way the trial for President Trump should be conducted. In Clinton’s trial the Democrats wanted no witnesses to be called. Now, in the trial for President Trump, they both want just the opposite, they want witnesses. These people are a bunch of hypocritical  whiners.

Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats all have said that no one is above the law. They should take a long hard look at Hillary Clinton.

IT SEEMS TO ME….The big picture

For some time I’ve been developing a theory to explain the Democrats seemingly irrational behavior in impeaching President Trump. It’s tempting to say that they’ve all lost their minds, but that’s not realistic. It’s also appealing to write them off as being evil and pernicious, which I believe they often are, but I refuse to believe there isn’t a significant number of them who love this country, have some respect for Conservatives, and want to do the right thing. Yet, almost all of them openly demonstrate a virulent hatred for the President and his supporters, which is truly frightening, especially when you consider that they claim to be inclusive and love everybody. Speaker Pelosi’s recent denial of her obvious hatred for the President was as artificial as anything I’ve ever seen. (Good Catholics like she claims to be who promote the murder of millions of babies couldn’t possibly hate anyone. But, I digress.)

Regardless of how bizarre the Democrat’s behavior appears to an observer, there is an explanation. People always have reasons for what they do, which make sense to them at the time. They must believe that their actions will further their goals. We Conservatives point out the numerous obstacles in this contrived impeachment debacle, but the Democrats are undeterred. Obviously something more important than the destruction of our Republic is driving them.

So what do I think is the motivation for their behavior? I believe it is panic and desperation. I think the Democrat party and the Never Trumpers are fighting for their very existence. Trump’s campaign to drain the swamp and root out the Deep State has cornered some of these vermin and they’re fighting back. The IG Horowitz’s report on the FBI’s spying on the 2016 Trump election campaign, and the Durham investigation into deep state shenanigans have triggered panic among the Democrats. I think they’ve seen their future and are doing whatever they can to avoid it.

Impeachment is one of the few legal avenues available to them to respond to these existential threats. So they put on this sham impeachment, ignoring traditional rules of fairness, making up new rules as they go along, and reach the foregone conclusion that Trump must be removed from office. There are now even threats to impeach Vice President Pence as well. Do they think that by getting rid of Trump and Pence that Pelosi would become President? Or perhaps Queen Hillary will take her rightful place at the helm?

Right now their survival is the only thing that matters to them. If Trump goes on to be re-elected next November, and the Democrats retain the House they will continue to cause as much trouble for President Trump as they can, but if the Republicans take over the House, the Democrats will have very little political power and their left wing loonies will undoubtedly go berserk.

Desperate people do desperate things, and the Democrats are desperate. They must be stopped before they destroy our country. I hope the voters next November recognize the importance of making the right choices. Keep your powder dry.

On My Soapbox…Pelosi Conscience/Brain Interview

As you know, our CONSCIENCE is an inner feeling or voice acting as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of one’s behavior. I personally believe God gives a conscience to every little baby that is born. Of coarse, as part of that package, God also gives us a brain. We train our brain as we go through life with the advantage of education and the exposure to life experiences.  Our conscience is that little imaginary person that sits on our shoulder throughout our life. It functions like a well trained parrot. It remembers everything and repeats it back to you, when you least want to be reminded.

I am sure you have heard people say, “I cannot sleep at night because my brain will not stop working.” Often times your brain is ready and willing to go to sleep, but your conscience is not at rest so it keeps your brain awake because it likes the company.

Can you imagine the many sleepless nights Nancy Pelosi has because her  Pelosi Conscience (PC) will not stop talking to her Pelosi Brain (PB)? Remember a conscience can be very inquisitive.

PC: Why did you wear that black dress to the House Vote on Impeachment today?

PB: Because this is a very sad day for America. We were forced to impeach the president of our wonderful country.

PC: You are such a liar, woman. You were not forced to do anything. In fact, a few short months ago, you even said that “Impeachment” was off the table. Why did you change your mind?

PB: I was forced to change my mind when more facts were exposed about Donald Trump from the Whistle Blower.

PC: The truth is not in you woman. The Whistle Blower was blowing someone else’s whistle who was also not privy to the conversation. You knew that. That whistle blower was about as trustworthy as Hunter Biden’s Stripper Baby Mama.

PB: Well, I had to trust my sources on that.

PC: Oh you mean your Pit Bull, Shifty Schiff. You enjoy putting your Pit Bulls out there to do all your dirty deeds for you, huh?

PB: Adam Schiff had a job to do, you should respect him. Quit calling him my Pit Bull.

PC: Well I don’t respect him. Keep in mind that the Senate has a job to do also. They are Dog Catchers. So tell me, why did you really break your word on taking Impeachment off the table?

PB: I already told you more evidence was brought forward by the Whistle Blower.

PC: And I already told you, you are a liar. You softened on impeachment because you were so afraid of “that little spunky AOC.” That little girl was using you as a whipping post with TV and social media exposure. You had Joe Crowley all groomed to be your replacement. He was a 10 term incumbent for New York’s 14th district. He got lazy like Hillary Clinton and thought he could not be beat. Then little AOC came in like a tsunami and beat your boy Crowley. She beat him with a voter turnout of only 20%. That probably means that a Republican will be in that seat after the next election. She knocked you out of the saddle and off your donkey that day, and you know it. You may need to purchase additional Ambien.

Say it ain’t so Mikey.  The dems don’t care how you treat women–ask the Clintons.

The Editor:  Why are you writing about war, LL ?

Bring Them Home Cat:  I’m tired of politicians using troops for political purposes.  Here are America’s publicized troops overseas.  Troops in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other active war zones are not listed.

The war mongers in DC and New York don’t care about our troops in uniform.  When they are injured and/or come home they are treated like dirt.  The VA should be done away with and each active or veteran given a Gold Insurance Card good for any treatment anywhere in America.

Here are some of the countries where we are fighting terrorism–or just organized murderers with guns.

What America needs is to bring the draft back, among other things with millions of troops from all segments of society in uniform the war mongers couldn’t have endless wars like Afghanistan and Iraq.  The families and those involved would rebel, like in the 1960’s.

LBJ lied to get us in Vietnam and Bush 41 and 43 lied to get us in the Middle East.

Reports like this are always covered up.

This video is graphic.  War is graphic.  Some people reading this might be in the video.  Eisenhower was right, I would change it to ” military-industrial-media complex “.    We thank everyone who has served.
