Great ideas, all of them. The beach mat makes perfect sense. Back in the 50s, my folks had a Nash Rambler station wagon. Believe me not, it had a similar blow-up mattress for the back. I don’t believe we ever used it as a family, but it’s possible my parents did at the Drive-In Theater.
